How do I book a rental?
Search for items in your area, select a listing, pick your date and delivery option, then complete checkout. You'll receive a confirmation email immediately.
Can I cancel or change my booking?
Yes β free cancellation up to 48 hours before the event. Changes to date or time can be made by contacting the vendor directly through the order page.
What happens if the rental item arrives damaged?
Report it immediately through your order page. Our Damage Protection program covers repairs or replacements. We'll coordinate with the vendor to resolve it.
Can I message a vendor before booking?
Yes! Every listing has a "Message Vendor" button. You can ask questions, request a quote, or discuss your event details before committing to a booking.
What are packages and how do they work?
Packages are vendor-created bundles that combine multiple items at a discounted price. For example, a vendor might bundle a bounce house, tables, and chairs together. You save money compared to booking each item individually.
Can I pay a deposit instead of the full amount?
Some vendors offer deposit payments where you pay a percentage upfront and the balance before your event. If available, you'll see the deposit option during checkout.
What is the damage waiver?
Some vendors offer an optional damage waiver you can add at checkout. It covers accidental damage to rental items during your event, giving you peace of mind.
Can I buy items outright instead of renting?
Yes! Some vendors offer purchase items like sandwich trays, custom cakes, balloon arrangements, and party favors. These are priced per unit rather than by duration. You still pick an event date and can choose delivery or free local pickup if the vendor offers it.
How do I become a vendor?
Click "Become a Vendor" and fill out the application. We review it within 24β48 hours. Once approved, you can list items, set pricing, and start receiving bookings.
How do I categorize my listings?
When creating a listing, select a primary category (e.g. Inflatables) and subcategory (e.g. Bounce Houses). You can also add an optional secondary category for items that fit multiple categories. Tag your listing with party types (Birthday, Wedding, etc.) so renters can find it easily.
Can I import multiple listings at once?
Yes! Go to Dashboard β Listings β Import CSV. Download the template, fill in your items including listing type, pricing, deposit settings, and damage waiver options, then upload. The template includes examples for rental, service, and purchase listings. You can also use the AI Website Scraper to automatically extract listings from your existing website. All imported listings start as drafts so you can add photos before going live.
How do packages work?
Go to Dashboard β Packages to bundle multiple listings together at a discounted price. Set a bundle price lower than the individual total, add images, and publish. Packages appear on your vendor profile and help increase average order value.
Can I set different prices for weekends or holidays?
Yes! When editing a listing, go to the Pricing & Specs step and add Pricing Rules. You can set multipliers for weekends, holidays, or specific date ranges (e.g., 1.25x for weekends = 25% markup).
How do deposit payments work for vendors?
Enable deposit payments on any listing in the Pricing & Specs step. Set a deposit percentage (25β75%). Customers pay the deposit at checkout, and you can collect the balance from your Orders page before the event.
What are vendor badges?
Badges are trust signals displayed on your profile and listings. They're automatically earned based on performance: Top Rated (4.5+ rating), Fast Responder (responds within 2 hours), Verified (Stripe connected), Experienced (100+ orders), and more.
How do I manage my portfolio?
Go to Dashboard β Portfolio to upload photos of your past events. Tag them by event type (Wedding, Birthday, etc.) and add captions. Your portfolio appears on your vendor profile page, helping customers see your work.
Can I create rental agreements?
Yes! Go to Dashboard β Agreements to create reusable rental agreement templates. Set one as default and it will be presented to customers during checkout. Customers must accept the agreement before completing their booking.
How do I create a purchase listing?
When creating or editing a listing, select "Purchase" as the listing type. Set a price per unit instead of hourly/duration pricing. You can also enable "Allow Free Local Pickup" so customers can pick up the item instead of paying for delivery. Purchase listings are great for food trays, custom cakes, party favors, and other items sold outright.
What fees does PropsNVibes charge?
We charge a 10% platform fee on each completed booking. There are no monthly fees, no listing fees, and no hidden charges. You keep 90% of every rental.
How do payouts work?
Payouts are sent via Stripe within 2β3 business days after an order is marked as completed. Connect your bank account in Dashboard β Settings to enable automatic payouts.
What payment methods are accepted?
We accept all major credit and debit cards, Apple Pay, and Google Pay through our secure Stripe integration.
How do refunds work?
Full refund if cancelled 48+ hours in advance. Within 48 hours, a 50% refund may apply. No-shows are not eligible for refunds. Refunds are processed within 5β10 business days.
Is my payment information secure?
Absolutely. All payments are processed through Stripe, a PCI Level 1 certified payment processor. We never store your full card details on our servers.
How do deposit and split payments work?
Some listings offer deposit payments. You pay a percentage (25β75%) upfront at checkout, and the remaining balance is due before the event. You'll receive email reminders about your balance payment.
How does delivery work?
Each vendor manages their own delivery. Most vendors deliver, set up, and pick up the rental items. Delivery fees and zones are shown on each listing. You can use the delivery estimator on any listing page to check if your ZIP code is in the vendor's delivery area.
What if my location is outside the delivery zone?
Use the "Message Vendor" or "Request a Quote" button to contact the vendor directly β many are willing to accommodate outside their standard zones for an additional fee.
Can I pick up the rental myself?
Yes! Vendors can enable free local pickup on their listings. If available, you'll see a "Free Local Pickup" option during checkout instead of delivery. This saves the delivery fee entirely. Purchase items like food trays and cakes commonly offer this option.
